“My intention is to relate to you as a whole and unique person – and I will never view you as just a set of symptoms.”

I re-trained as a homeopath, and this is why: I have been a fully qualified, full-time teacher for more than 15 years and have thoroughly enjoyed my interaction with young children, their parents and my colleagues. But I have been intrigued by homeopathy ever since I first took my daughter for a consultation when she was 3 years old … and she’s now a teenager! She had a spell of being particularly unwell and it was when she was ‘routinely’ prescribed a fourth consecutive course of antibiotics that I thought, ‘This can’t be right… there has to be another way!’ It was her homeopath who was the first to ask ALL about her and not just about her particular symptoms. This, as well as the fact that the consultation lasted at least an hour and I felt heard and listened to for the first time, was enough to keep me going back! As a result, my daughter became a much healthier, happier individual. As a practitioner, my intention is to relate to you not just as a chest infection, an irritable bowel, or a swollen toe, but as a whole and unique individual, whose expression of a disease may be unlike anyone else’s. For this reason, your prescription will always be individualised and tailor-made, just for you. The letters M.L.C.Hom after my name mean that I trained with the Lakeland College of Homeopathy and became a member of the college on graduating. I am also a member of the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths (MARH) and my practice is covered by full indemnity insurance. In addition, I am an EFT Practitioner, having completed Level 2 Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) training. As well as this, I also make use of flower essences which work very gently to bring about a greater sense of emotional well-being. In my spare time, I continue to attend additional training and seminars. At weekends I spend time with my friends and family, and particularly enjoy being outdoors, as I find nature deeply inspiring.
